Description
Authentic 1890’s -1900 Victorian High Top Lacing Boots.. Beautiful brown leather that is shinny, soft and pliable. The heels & soles are in excellent condition. The laces have been replaced with new 68 inch laces. The tops of these boots are a lighter brown canvas. The inside of these boots are lined with white canvas. These boots have been professionally cleaned with saddle soap.
Inside one boot is stamped:
TOOMEY’S
there is more type below, but not readable
on the canvas below there is type
36 – 0 and the other numbers are not readable
On the other boot is a cloth tag that reads:
THE SELBY SHOE CO.
reg. u. s. pat. of.
This vintage boots are in EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION.. If they have been worn, they certainly were not worn much at all, as the soles look great. The canvas tops have some smudge marks and a few worn areas but that might have happened by being stored for over 100 years.
These boots stand 11 inches tall from the heel to the top of the boots.
The spool heels are around 2-1/2 to 3 inches tall and look great.
It is hard to tell the actual size of these boots. I would guess that they are:
WOMEN’S 5 to 6 and Very Narrow.
To get a better idea, check the actual measurements below:
