Description
Rare Find – 1920’s Faux Fur Coat with Natural Fur Trim. The body of this coat is a short curly faux fur in a steely grayish brown color.. Some of the photos seem to cast it in a green shade, but it is really more silvery- warm gray. The large fur collar and cuffs are natural fur. This fur collar wraps around the head & neck like a cocoon.
There is one fabulous carved celluloid button as a closure.. so typical of the 1920’s glamorous Gatsby Style.
The entire coat is lined in brocade fabric with the lower area in a solid black.
This authentic 20’s coat is in EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION.. with no snag holes, tears or stains. All the seams are in place and this appears very wearable.

There is no size label, which is typical for the period.
By the measurements I would say this is a SMALL TO MEDIUM.. The one area that is cut smaller and more tailored is the arms.. so this is going to fit a more lean, slender gal… with skinny arms..

Shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 14-1/2 inches
Chest: from the bottom of arm pit to arm pit: 21 inches across = 42 inches
Length: back of collar seam to bottom of garment: 49 inches
Sleeve: from top of the shoulder seam to the bottom of cuff: 23-1/2 inches
Top of the arm opening area: 7 inches across = 14 inches
