Description

RARE>> 1950’S GIRAFFE Novelty Print Skirt.
14 panels sewn together to create this giraffe printed skirt. The panels are rotated between giraffe panels and tree panels.
This garment is made of a soft, light weight 100% cotton. There is a double button and metal talon zipper as closures.
This Skirt was featured in the movie, “Back to the Future” as a stylist prop picked for the actor, Lee Thompson.
This is in EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION… no real issues to note… The fabric on the waistband is from a different die lot of fabric from the novelty print fabric. The waistband seems to be a bit grayish black as opposed to the jet black of the novelty print fabric. This is typical as this novelty skirt was sold as a sew at home kit offered by Penney’s in the 1950’s. The waistband was not included in the panels that was part of the kit.. so people purchased fabric separately when purchasing this kit.
*I have shown the skirt with a petticoat in a few images. The petty coat is not included with the skirt.

By the measurements this is a size SMALL with a 26 inch waist
