Description
RARE >>> 1940’s Hooded Work Jacket.. Most likely worn by workers of the Alaska Highway construction in 1942. The outer fabric seems to be an acetate, cotton or rayon blend with a plaid cotton flannel lining inside the jacket.. including lining in the hood. This is an extra large jacket with large side pockets and pull strings inside the waistband that can be tightened to fit the wearer.
On the back is printed:
ALASKA HIGHWAY
This jacket is in VERY GOOD VINTAGE CONDITION.. with light signs of wear & fade consistent with age. There are a few small snag holes in the body of the jacket..
There is no maker size label in this jacket. The metal zipper is unmarked as well.
By the measurements, I would say this is a MEN’S EXTRA LARGE
