1930’s Silk Velvet Opera Coat.. full length silk velvet, velvet covered buttons, completely lined in off white satin.. The regal stand-up collar is pleated and the total look is gorgeous..
There are 2 velvet covered button closures on this jacket. One up tight at the neckline and the other at the side of the waist. There is a velvet loop and a satin tie inside.. securing the wrap-a-round closure of this coat.
This special garment is in EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION.. with no flaws.. The silk velvet is soft and luxurious.. and inky black.. the lining is a thick grade of satin in a creamy white color without flaws. The collar will stand up alone or down as you prefer. The sleeves are very cool.. with a bit of a puffy sleeve at the top, with gathering pleats running down to the cuff.
Definitely has that Old Hollywood Walk of Fame Look!!
