Rare… 1930’s-40’s Double Breasted Linen Suit by PALM BEACH for Marshall Field & Company.. in a natural creamy white linen.
The double breasted jacket & trousers are a larger size, which is unusual to find.. This jacket has peak lapels with natural mother of pearl buttons, a ventless back, one breast pocket and 2 low patch pockets. There is one interior breast pocket as well. This is a fine quality medium weight natural Palm Beach linen cloth that looks sharp on this vintage suit.
The trousers have a nice medium weight drape with a flat front panel, side seam pockets and a concealed watch pocket. There is a button fly and cotton pocket liners that are in great condition.. The back has 2 welt pockets, one with a button. These trousers have wide cuffs as well.

This suit is washable, with instructions like all Palm Beach Suits from the same period.
This suit is in EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION.. with only very minor light smudge marks. It’s in incredible condition considering it is almost 100 years old!
The size marked inside the jacket’s breast pocket reads:
MEN’S 43 REGULAR.. which is a MEN’S LARGE

From the top of the shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 18-1/2 inches
Chest taken from under the armpit to armpit: 22-1/2 inches across = 45 inches
Sleeve: from the top of the shoulder seam to the bottom of the cuff: 24-3/4 inches
Length: from the back of collar seam to bottom of garment: 30-1/2 inches
**Trousers:
WAIST: 37 inches (with additional salvage available to let out another 2-1/2 inches)
INSEAM: from inside crotch seam to end of the cuff: 32-1/2 inches (no salvage really)
OUTSEAM: from the top of the pants waistline to the bottom of the cuff: 43-1/4 inches
