Description
1930’s BEACON ROBE in an Art Deco Ombre Pattern. This is medium weight cotton /acetate blended flannel fabric, most likely milled by The BEACON Blanket Company. Many garment manufacturers from this period would by yardage from the The Beacon Blanket Company and make these robes under their own label.
This pattern was a Classic Deco Design that was very popular in the 1930’s and 40’s.
These collectable robes have that soft & cozy quality similar to that of a chenille fabric.
This garment is in VERY GOOD VINTAGE CONDITION… with light over all wear, consistent with age.
The black braided sash with long fringe is not original to the robe, but works well with it.
The sleeves are a bit short at 22-1/2 to 23 inches
(men’s standard length is 24 inches)
