Description
1930’s-40’s black rayon blouse with wide balloon sleeves. This blouse has a fitted empire waist with a flouncy peplum. The sleeves are incredible! They are extra long and wide and balloon out in the center. The cuffs are fitted with elastic so they gather and rest along the wrists. The collar and the sleeves have a white ribbon detailing… There are 12 tiny buttons as a closure in front, grouped in sets of 3.
The fabric is a black rayon crepe.
The garment is in EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION… no issues to note.
There is no maker or size label attached.. which was typical of the period.. or perhaps this was a handmade item, not sure..
I would say that this dress is a WOMEN’S SIZE SMALL

Bust taken under the arm pit to arm pit: 32 to 34 inches
Empire waist area: 27 to 28 inches (this measurement is actually above the waist, just below the breast line)

Length from the collar seam to the empire waist seam: 13 inches
