This is in EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION.. with only a few tiny snags to be seen.. which is really incredible considering it’s age.. (see last image with arrows)
These period dresses are delicate, and should be worn with care.
There is no label, or size in dress, which is typical of this period..
I would say by the measurements that this dress is a WOMEN’S SIZE MEDIUM .. there is no side snaps on this dress, which can make it more difficult to get over your shoulders, if they are broad. The max waist measurement is 32 inches, so it shouldn’t be that hard to get into.
These dresses should fit loose, not at all snug on the body. They should drop freely from the shoulders down. Keep this in mind when looking at the measurements.
To be certain of the size, check the measurements below for a good fit:
Laying flat:
Shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 15 inches
Bust taken under the arm pit to arm pit: 18 inches = 36 inches
Waist area: 16 inches across.. which is a 32 inch waist (however this should fit you loose)
Length from the shoulder to the waist: 16 inches
Length from the waist the hemline: 34 inches
Total length: 50 inches
